Friendship with Krishna

If one makes friendship with Kṛṣṇa, one will never be cheated, and he will get all help needed.

"If one makes friendship with Kṛṣṇa, one will never be cheated, and he will get all help needed. One should try to raise the consciousness of the conditioned soul to the platform of understanding that Kṛṣṇa is his actual friend. Arousing this consciousness of the conditioned soul is the greatest service, not posing oneself as a great friend of another living entity." (Śrīmad Bhagavātam 3.27.4 Purport)

"The Supreme Godhead exchanges transcendental love in His original form of Kṛṣṇa. Therefore to Arjuna, who was so intimately related with Kṛṣṇa in friendship. So Arjuna conquered both sleep and ignorance because of his friendship with Kṛṣṇa. As a great devotee of Kṛṣṇa, he could not forget Kṛṣṇa even for a moment, because that is the nature of a devotee. Either in waking or in sleep, a devotee of the Lord can never be free from thinking of Kṛṣṇa's name, form, qualities and pastimes." (BG 11.54, Purport)

Friendship with Krishna

"If one accepts Kṛṣṇa as the supreme friend, the attraction of material friendship will be finished for him, and he will not be dismayed by so-called friendship with mundane wranglers. If he is attracted by servitorship to Kṛṣṇa, he will no longer have to serve the material body in the degraded status of material existence, with the false hope of becoming master in the future." (Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Ādi-līlā 4.35)

Friendship with Krishna

Kṛṣṇa is the real friend of everyone. We are seeking friendship from so many persons to improve our material condition, but we do not know the real friend is Kṛṣṇa who is within us. By education, people will be able to realize that they are not proprietor. Kṛṣṇa is proprietor. They are not enjoyer. Kṛṣṇa is enjoyer. We are seeking out friends to give us protection. Kṛṣṇa is the supreme friend who can give everyone protection.

Kṛṣṇa, You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, completely capable of fulfilling the desires of Your devotees. You are the real friend of everyone. In spite of giving Yourself to Your devotees, You are never depleted of Your original potency. Your potency neither decreases nor increases in volume. (Kṛṣṇa Book, Chapter 48)

Kṛṣṇa, You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead and master of all species of living entities. You are the supreme friend of all living entities, but at the same time You are the supreme chastiser of the miscreants and the envious. (Kṛṣṇa Book, Chapter 69)

Always depend on Krishna because He will never let you down. He is the one and only person you can always trust to always be acting purely for your welfare. He is your ever well-wishing best of all friends. Therefore if you will put your faith totally in Him, you will never ever be bewildered or unhappy in any situation. Indeed this will be the absolute perfection of your consciousness. This highest stage of self-realization is called Krishna consciousness.

Friendship with Krishna

No one is dear to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, nor is anyone His enemy or friend. But He gives inspiration to those who have not forgotten Him and destroys those who have.

Forgetfulness of one’s relationship with Lord Viṣṇu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the cause of one’s repeated birth and death. A living entity is as eternal as the Supreme Lord, but due to his forgetfulness he is put into this material nature and transmigrates from one body to another, and when the body is destroyed, he thinks that he is also destroyed. Actually, this forgetfulness of his relationship with Lord Viṣṇu is the cause of his destruction. Anyone who revives his consciousness of the original relationship receives inspiration from the Lord. This does not mean that the Lord is someone’s enemy and someone else’s friend. He helps everyone; one who is not bewildered by the influence of material energy is saved, and one who is bewildered is destroyed. It is said, therefore, hariṁ vinā nasṛtiṁ taranti: no one can be saved from the repetition of birth and death without the help of the Supreme Lord. It is therefore the duty of all living entities to take shelter of the lotus feet of Viṣṇu and thus save themselves from the cycle of birth and death. (S.B.3.29.39)
